Comics

My best friend got me into comics and i've been enjoying them ever since.
Here are ones he's shown me plus ones I've found on my own.

Blackest Night Comic Cover

Blackest Night

Reading this felt like being in the theaters watching a now classic superhero movie. The action  was amazing and witnessing how powerful all the heroes were had me completely immersed in the spectacle of it. Barry Allen and Hal Jordan make a great duo that keep that wise-cracking cop and serious-cop troupe alive. Combining their dynamic, the action, and a pretty solid plot, this one had me feeling like I was reliving those dope moments from when the MCU was having its best run.

Kingdom Come Comic Cover

Kingdom Come

The justice league has finally succeeded! Crime is at an all time low and there are no more invaders trying to destroy the planet. What happens to all the Heroes and villains who thrived off of the chaos though? Well they keep fighting and really start messing society up at a structural level. A dope comic with the golden boy superman having to face the consequences of a world he had a big hand in creating. Alex Ross’s art is iconic and this is a must read just for that alone! I love seeing the peak of all the heroes abilities in this. Flash has some absolutely ridiculous moments in this one that had me giggling at how stupid the Speed Force can be.

Mister Miracle Comic Cover

Mister Miracle

I feel so bad for Scott free. This man is just trying to love his wife and prepare himself to be a good father to his unborn child. Meanwhile, there is an interplanetary war going on that he gets caught in the middle of because turns out his dad isn’t his actual dad. His actual dad is the ruler of the new gods who are going to war with his adopted dad who tortured him for all of his life. Man…Talk about dysfunctional. Big Barda is the goat though, she really holds him down. I can only hope to find someone who loves me as much as Barda loves Scott.
