So today (or night) was probably one the worst I’ve ever had. I’m totally lost, the party I was leading around the dungeon got murdered by some crazy bald dudes, annnnnnd all the loot was taken too! The only thing I was able to keep was this crummy Evertorch (which I’m so totally thankful for actually). Not sure how deep I am in the dungeon, but hopefully I can find a path that's familiar and get out of here soon. So embarrassing, an experienced wayfarer like me shouldn’t be getting lost in here. Whatever! For now, I’m gonna write in this journal that I took off one of the adventurers I was guiding and maybe map out this unknown part of the dungeon.
For anyone who finds this (and also just to vent) let me tell you how daring and brave my escape was from these mercenaries. They came in while the group that hired me was resting. I stepped away to scavenge for some mushrooms because a girl's gotta eat. When I came back all of them had been killed by this strange duo. I didn’t get a good look at them but one of them was a huuuuuuuuge mass of muscle with a spear and the other looked…pretty ordinary actually.
I was able to sneak past them snagging this torch out of the bag of loot we had gotten from delving. I maybe got a little ahead of myself and spoke the incantation to light the torch. That’s when I heard the heavy footsteps from the big guy coming my way. After extinguishing the torch I was faced with two options, face these two head on, or try my luck at walking across this narrow pathway in front of me. I may have knives and I may be a goblin, but I rarely use them and contrary to what some of the people reading this may think most of us don’t enjoy violence. Thank mama for these big ears and sensitive skin because getting across this without any light would have been impossible. Time to rest for a little while. Here’s to hoping that this will be the only entry I write in this journal!
